Desenzano del Garda was founded in roman age,it was one of the greater markets of cereals of Italy. But, from the beginning of 1900 it has developed a tourist vocation, it trades them and industrial. The old port is governed from the castle, of medieval construction, was probably raised on the foundations of a roman castrum. From its terrace it is enjoyed the most magnificent panoramas of the Garda.
