Desenzano del Garda was founded in roman age,it was one of the greater markets of cereals of Italy. But, from the beginning of 1900 it has developed a tourist vocation, it trades them and industrial. The old port is governed from the castle, of medieval construction, was probably raised on the foundations of a roman castrum. From its terrace it is enjoyed the most magnificent panoramas of the Garda. It is the point of ideal departure in order to move in the outskirts being followed routes of art and culture, folklore and gastronomy for the fact that is of boats starting line and lines of coach, served from the railroad and the freeway.
