Liguria is famous for its temperate climate. Because of its particular morphology, the region has different climatic features: in the north the climate is continental, whereas along the coast the extremely mild temperatures register the remarkable annual mean values of 9-10¡ in winter and 24-25¡ C in summer. During the winter the mountain zones are often covered with snow and all snow sports can be practised in the ski resorts.
