rapallo house
Rapallo is a delightful seaside village with a long promenade that gets especially crowded during the summer. Rapallo's main claim to fame is the high quality of its lace which has been made here since the 17th century and which is on display in exhibits in the Museo Pizzo al Tombo. There are several restored buildings of historical interest in Rapallo including the 16th-century church of San Gervasio e Protasio and the Church of San Stefano that was originally built prior to 1000 A.D. and rebuilt in the 17th century. You can also visit a fortress that was originally built to deter Barbary pirates who would make frequent raids along the coast.
